NeCole Rivers, PhD

NeCole Rivers, PhD is an Occupational Therapist and Clinical Psychologist. She began her career in 1997 when she graduated from St. Phillips Community College with an Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. In 2005 she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University.

From 2006-2012 she worked in an outpatient clinic where she was able to treat children from birth-18 years. This client population had a variety of neurological and developmental delays which she treated primarily with Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental Treatments.

In 2012 she expanded her work and began to treat the geriatric population. In her work with both children and adults she realized that her clients and the families often had psychological components that were not being addressed. Her desire to provide a more holistic mind and body treatment motivated her to return to school.

In 2015 she graduated from Walden University with a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology. Her professional goal has been to find a way to use both of her advanced degrees in a way to bring maximum benefit to the clients and families she is privileged to work with. In 2017 with this professional goal in mind she began her work with the International Association of Functional Neurology and Rehabilitation.
